RFKC's
mission is to provide abused and neglected children a 5-day, overnight,
summer camp filled with success-oriented activities in an environment of
compassion, encouragement, and positive praise. The primary objective of
our summer camp program is to furnish emotionally scarred children with
a collection of positive experiences and memories that will contribute
to a renewed sense of self-esteem and confidence with which to address
future events and relationships in their lives. The RFKC program is
designed to show campers that there can be people in their lives that
they can trust, people who care about them, and who will interact with
them without being harmful or hurtful. In this unique program, abused
children learn that they can express themselves freely without being
judged or punished, that their thoughts and feelings are important and
worthy of expression, that they are not to blame for the bad things that
have happened to them, and that they are valuable, both to themselves
and to others. • Annually, 3 million cases are reported in America of child abuse, neglect or abandonment • One of these victims dies every four hours due to that abuse But you can make a difference — through your support of Royal Family Kids’ Camps. • Most of our campers are in foster care • In everything we do, we strive to create positive memories for our campers • Camps are held annually for kids ages 7 to 11
